About the Role
The Commodity Buyer – Facilities will be responsible for the execution and improvement of procurement processes, specifically working with sites in Texas. This role will manage purchasing and sourcing activities related to facility operations, maintenance, repair, and facility services, overseeing supplier relationships, negotiating pricing and contracts, and ensuring timely procurement while maintaining cost efficiency, quality, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders to review and approve requisitions.
- Lead the sourcing process from start to finish, guiding cross-functional teams through bid evaluation, selection criteria, supplier award, and contracting.
- Implement Indirect Procurement strategies to consolidate the supply base, increase spend under management, expand the Preferred Supplier List, and improve overall cycle time.
- Manage supplier and stakeholder relationships through quarterly business reviews, timely contract negotiations, and action plan completion.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reporting capabilities, and the consultative approach of services and facilities-related procurement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or similar.
- 2+ years of procurement experience.
- Advanced analytical, project management, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects with minimal oversight.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Experience in sourcing, negotiating, and managing agreements.
