About the Role
The Senior QA Analyst is an integral member of the manual Quality Assurance team, responsible for manual testing of Viv’s web and mobile applications to ensure proper functionality while adhering to defined project timelines. This role involves leading manual testing projects, writing and executing test cases, logging defects, and investigating issues, ensuring software functions with the highest standard of quality.
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of Product under test and associated requirements.
- Perform end-to-end manual testing of native mobile apps and web platform, including creating test plans, test case development, test execution, and defect remediation.
- Groom stories to account for testing and quality metrics, assisting Scrum teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate with Project stakeholders to understand project requirements, identify test scenarios, design test cases, and create testing artifacts.
- Ensure end-to-end quality of products and services by identifying and executing appropriate testing strategies.
- Collaborate with developers and team members to ensure comprehensive test coverage and effective collaboration.
- Recommend changes to release plans as needed to address critical quality issues.
- Execute test cases within agreed-upon timelines, ensuring the application performs as expected.
- Analyze test results, investigate, report, and track product issues to improve overall quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manual QA role.
- At least 2 years in a senior manual QA role in software testing environments for web-based and mobile applications.
- Adept with Agile scrum methodologies.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle, quality assurance methods, and testing principles.
- Strong experience in functional, integration, ad hoc, and exploratory testing methodologies.
- Experience developing and maintaining test cases.
- Good communication skills and a team player.
- Attention to detail, tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn the product.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to learn, adapt, and grow in response to challenges within the healthcare industry.
- Previous startup experience is highly preferred.
- Certification in QA or software development (ISTQB, CSTE) is a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is a plus.
- Experience with POSTMAN is a plus.
- Experience in data analysis is a plus.
- Fluency in Spanish, Russian, or other languages is an asset.
