About the Role
Join the Greenlawn NY Operations team in the Manufacturing Engineering/Technical Operations group. Provide engineering, process development, and new process implementation through hands-on problem solving, data analysis, and application of engineering principles, Six Sigma, and lean manufacturing principles to improve product flow and yields.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain product and process work instructions, improving them to reduce Cost of Poor Quality.
- Develop new processes and implement changes in product flow to support the production line using lean manufacturing principles.
- Analyze defect data to identify areas for yield improvement and collaborate on implementing process improvements.
- Apply Lean Six Sigma tools to solve production problems and enhance existing processes.
- Utilize poke yoke principles to prevent production problems.
- Participate in and document root cause corrective action (RCCA) using problem-solving methodologies.
- Define and specify requirements for assembly tooling, fixtures, and equipment for current manufacturing operations.
- Recommend changes for production line continuous improvements.
- Support and collaborate with program team functions to resolve manufacturing and process issues.
- Support the implementation of new automation assembly equipment, including programming, process qualifications/validations, and supporting tooling design.
- Research emerging trends, techniques, methods, and best practices to improve processes and meet future challenges.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- Exhibit sound interpersonal skills for interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with company personnel at all levels, customers, and suppliers.
- Experience reading and working with technical drawings, schematics, process sheets, and change orders.
- Experience working independently and being effective in a fast-paced environment.

Experience Level
- 1+ years manufacturing engineering experience
- 3+ years manufacturing engineering experience in an electronics manufacturing environment (preferred)
Education Level
- Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
Salary/Compensations
