About the Role
This role requires an experienced OR RN with strong circulating skills across a variety of service lines, including Orthopedics, General Surgery, Urology, ENT, GI, Spine, Ophthalmology, and Podiatry. The position involves a 4x9 schedule with rotating on-call and weekend responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Circulate for Orthopedics procedures including total joints, ortho trauma, sports medicine, upper extremity procedures, endoscopic, and open procedures.
- Circulate for General Surgery, including laparoscopic and open procedures.
- Circulate for Urology procedures, including use of a litho laser.
- Circulate for ENT procedures on pediatric patients, including PE Tubes, T&As, Septoplasties, and FESS with and without navigation.
- Circulate for GI procedures including Colonoscopies, EGDs, and Dilatation.
- Circulate for Spine procedures including ACDF, Lumbar Fusions, discectomies, Kyphoplasties, and posterior Cervical fusions.
- Circulate for Ophthalmology procedures including cataracts with use of microscope and phaco machine.
- Circulate for Podiatry procedures, including sports medicine, open, and endoscopic procedures.
- Perform on-call duties one day per week, Monday-Thursday.
- Cover on-call weekends 3 out of every 4-6 weeks for the first contract (Friday-Monday).
Requirements
- Must have circulator experience.
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS required (all through AHA/RQI).
- Must have STROKE certification.
