About the Role
Manage business operations for the Applied AI Engineering (AAI Eng) organization, focusing on the AAI Labs incubator. Own the end-to-end program lifecycle for hundreds of concurrent projects, ensuring consistency and speed in proposal intake, progress tracking, and decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Own the proposal process end to end, including defining acceptance criteria, running reviews, and ensuring timely decisions.
- Build and manage a portfolio tracking system for hundreds of concurrent projects, monitoring milestones, health signals, and data-generation targets.
- Design and conduct regular project evaluations, driving decisions on milestones, pivots, cuts, and graduations with leadership.
- Establish rubrics, calibration, and documented standards to ensure consistent decision-making across reviewers.
- Plan and execute intake batches, including onboarding, launch backlog, and cadence.
- Report on portfolio health and outcomes to senior leadership, and implement program improvements based on insights.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the AAI Labs operating model through process, tooling, and automation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent.
- 8+ years of experience in program management running complex, multi-team programs at a leading or startup tech company.
- Experience working directly with software engineers and engineering leaders, with sufficient technical fluency to assess project progress.
- Demonstrated ability to drive clear decisions, including difficult cut or deprioritize calls, in ambiguous environments.
- Possess quantitative, analytical, and conceptual problem-solving skills combined with business acumen.
- Experience problem-solving individually and in a group setting, with an AI-first mindset.
