About the Role
Medieval Times is seeking high-energy, friendly individuals to join our Guest Services / Event Staff team. This role is crucial in creating the ultimate Medieval Times experience by greeting and assisting guests, and ensuring the safety and security of our premises.
Responsibilities
- Interact with guests, answer questions, and act as an ambassador for Medieval Times.
- Patrol and monitor the interior and exterior of the facility to ensure the safety of team members, guests, and property.
- Recognize and anticipate safety hazards and potentially volatile situations and address them as needed.
- Enforce local laws and ordinances, as well as the rules and regulations of Medieval Times.
- Accompany cashiers in transporting money between the Cash Control department and Retail departments.
- Call police or fire department in cases of emergency.
- Inspect building environmental controls and other equipment to ensure they are turned off when not in use.
- Inspect stables to ensure the security of horses.
- On non-show days, record any property and equipment issues and any visitors in the security log.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Walk, stand, or sit for extended periods; occasionally run short distances.
Requirements
- Ability to interact and communicate with team members and guests.
- Ability to deal with unpleasant or discourteous guests and diffuse potentially volatile situations.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Requires work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions and outdoor exposure to all weather conditions on occasion.
- Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Must have a valid Driver's License.
