About the Role
Four Seasons Hotel New York is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department. This role involves managing staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, and reporting to the Director of Housekeeping.
Responsibilities
- Check manning levels to ensure adequate staffing and avoid over/understaffing.
- Supervise work assignments for maximum coverage and productivity.
- Inspect rooms daily and provide immediate performance feedback.
- Personally inspect VIP, GH, Elite, and regular guest rooms to ensure standards are met and preferences are accommodated.
- Verify team members adhere to Four Seasons grooming standards.
- Make recommendations and follow through on disciplinary actions for staff.
- Spot check all Housekeeping areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards, reporting and correcting concerns.
- Monitor colleague performance and ensure sufficient supplies on guest floors and hallways.
- Conduct bi-weekly inventories of guest and operating supplies.
- Raise Purchase Orders to maintain storeroom par levels.
Requirements
- Minimum two years in an equivalent Housekeeping position.
- Good oral and written English communication skills.
- Previous Housekeeping/Laundry experience in a similar environment.
- Previous New York experience preferred.
