About the Role
We are seeking a Systems Engineer passionate about technology and asset management to join our Engineering Team. You will build the systems that power our firm-wide investment process, focusing on core services for reference data, trade management, position management, and compliance. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate across departments and integrate services with external parties.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end systems deliveries to scale the firm across various business lines.
- Build core services for the Ares Systematic Credit investment process.
- Integrate core services with external parties such as middle office and fund administrators.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the firm, including Portfolio Management, Operations, and Compliance.
- Utilize and contribute to the Ares Systematic Credit software development toolkit, including source code control, CI/CD platform, test infrastructure, packaging, and deployment.
- Build common libraries and software infrastructure.
- Review and test code and systems according to defined standards.
- Support production systems.
Requirements
- Desire to work as part of a team and strong communication skills.
- Eagerness and ability to learn and develop expertise in new technologies and fixed income.
- Ability to write high quality Python code.
- An understanding of the importance of testing.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and related business analysis.
- Ability to parse problems and present solutions.
- Ownership for the code you write.
