About the Role
Community Care Pediatrics Saratoga is seeking a full-time Patient Support Representative to manage a high-volume call center and schedule appointments. The role involves answering phones, returning calls, rescheduling patients, documenting patient information, and transferring calls.
Responsibilities
- Answer multiple line phone system, forwarding calls to appropriate location or handling calls personally when appointments are needed.
- Remove messages from phone system and return calls to patients as needed.
- Cancel and reschedule patients when necessary.
- Schedule appointments for patients, following office protocols for access to care.
- Document verbal conversations and information into patient record in an accurate, legible and timely manner.
- Transfer/retrieve office phones to/from answering service.
- Answer overflow of phone calls and direct appropriately.
- Process incoming telephone calls/messages based on office policy and procedure.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent with additional education desirable.
- Minimum of one year work experience.
- Strong computer skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures preferred.
- Ability to use interpersonal skills to establish/maintain cooperative relationships with patients, family members, physicians, providers, managers, co-workers, and external customers.
