  • Embedding test automation and quality gates in CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  • Writing maintainable, readable tests in languages such as Java, Python, C# or JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Collaborating with client and Deloitte teams to help define the right approach to quality across projects.
  • Executing automated tests, investigating defects, analysing failures and identifying root causes to improve test reliability.
  • Identifying and assessing dependencies and communicating risks.
  • Mentoring others and contributing to Deloitte’s internal tools, accelerators and communities of practice.

Requirements

  • Hold or be eligible for UK SC or DV clearance.
  • Proficiency in at least one of Java, C#, Python or JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Experience building, maintaining, optimising or extending functional regression automation frameworks for web, mobile or API testing.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks, methodologies and industry-standard tooling such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Appium, RestAssured or Cucumber.
  • Experience executing automated tests, investigating and reporting defects, and performing root cause analysis of failures.
  • Experience with source control such as Git.
  • Experience working in agile teams using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with the fundamentals of generative AI and associated AI tooling and accelerators.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle and software engineering fundamentals.
  • A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills.
  • Practical knowledge and understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of microservice and container-based architectures.
  • Experience or interest in working with Government & Public Sector.
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience of testing SaaS platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, ServiceNow.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or developer communities.
  • Knowledge of performance, security, or accessibility testing, and associated tooling.
  • Exposure to infrastructure-as-code or container orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Terraform.
  • ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level and ISTQB Certified Tester – Testing with Generative AI.
