About the Role
Prime Intellect is building the open superintelligence stack, providing infrastructure for AI labs. The platform unifies compute, environments, evaluations, secure sandboxes, high-performance training, and deployment for post-training at frontier scale. We are seeking a Product Lead to guide the product team within Engineering, transforming AI infrastructure into a user-friendly product for developers and researchers. This role involves leading product strategy, collaborating with founders and technical leads, and staying close to design and implementation.
Responsibilities
- Set a focused product direction with founders and technical leads, translating customer needs and technical capabilities into product choices.
- Shape the connected customer experience across the platform, including environments, evaluations, training, deployment, and traces.
- Partner with teams building Model Factory, inference, and sandboxes to ensure workflow integration.
- Engage directly with customers and researchers to identify friction points, test ideas, and develop dependable product features from experiments.
- Maintain hands-on involvement through prototypes, product specifications, design reviews, and engineering working sessions.
- Measure product success through metrics like time to first useful result, repeat usage, and production adoption, using data to refine the roadmap.
Requirements
- Proven experience building and scaling a technical product used by many in production.
- Experience leading teams while maintaining hands-on involvement and understanding when to direct execution.
- Technical depth for prototyping, API interaction, and reasoning through system tradeoffs with engineers.
- Experience in developer tools, AI infrastructure, or ML platforms is required.
- A focus on product usability and user experience.
- Ability to learn directly from customers, communicate clearly, and define next steps for ambiguous problems.
- A passion for building open superintelligence and empowering others.
- Demonstrated experience in ownership of training, inference, multi-agent, RL, continual learning, and/or evaluations systems is particularly useful.
- Design engineering experience is a significant plus, combining product vision with execution.
