About the Role
HTS Engineering Ltd. is seeking a skilled HVAC technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize commercial and industrial HVAC systems. This role involves diagnosing system failures, maintaining environmental conditions, supporting various HVAC equipment, monitoring energy usage, and performing commissioning. The technician will also troubleshoot Building Automation Systems (BAS) and identify opportunities for process automation.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize commercial and industrial HVAC systems (York, Trane, Desert Aire)
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and controls failures
- Maintain cultivation environmental conditions, including temperature, humidity, differential pressure, and airflow
- Support operation of Air Handling Units (AHUs), Rooftop Units (RTUs), Chillers, Dry Coolers, Cooling Towers, Dehumidification Systems, Exhaust and Makeup Air Systems, Fan Coil Units, Split Systems, Refrigeration Equipment
- Monitor and optimize energy usage while maintaining environmental targets
- Perform commissioning and recommissioning of HVAC equipment
- Troubleshoot and maintain Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- Diagnose sensor, controller, VFD, network, and communication issues
- Calibrate environmental sensors and instrumentation
- Support modifications to HVAC sequences of operation
- Identify opportunities to automate manual environmental control processes
Requirements
- Significant experience with Commercial HVAC systems
- Significant experience with Industrial HVAC systems
- Significant experience with Refrigeration systems
- Significant experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- Significant experience with Direct Digital Controls (DDC)
- Significant experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Significant experience with Chilled water systems
