About the Role
Support a paediatric female client with complex care needs, including lung disease and acquired brain injury, in her family home. Responsibilities include personal care, medication administration, and managing clinical interventions such as tracheostomy and ventilation.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centered care in the client's home.
- Assist with personal care.
- Support with moving and handling.
- Support with clinical interventions specific to the client.
- Enrich the client's quality of life through community interaction.
- Support the client in achieving her goals and aspirations.
- Administer medications.
- Manage the client's clinical interventions, including tracheostomy, ventilation via tracheostomy, humidification, and gastrostomy care.
Requirements
- 6 months of care experience within the last 2 years (UK based).
- Prior experience with tracheostomy is preferred.
- Experience with personal care, medication, and manual handling.
- Comfortable working in a 1:1 setting.
- Willing to learn new skills and undertake complex care training.
- Ability to provide high-quality care with compassion and professionalism.
