About the Role
Contribute hands-on automation and enablement support to extend and strengthen the growing suite of editorial AI services and newsroom tools, while building your own skills.
Responsibilities
- Hands-on support for editorial AI initiatives.
- Prototyping newsroom-facing AI workflows.
- Contributing to internal tooling to make workflows and development processes more repeatable and scalable.
- Writing clear internal documentation to support adoption and maintainability.
- Supporting experimentation and evaluation of AI-driven newsroom utilities.
- Collaborate with team members on data-driven AI projects.
- Learn how to create digital tools and experiences to make communities stronger and readers’ lives easier.
Requirements
- Experience with AI tooling and a proven track record of building prototypes with AI.
- Familiarity with prompt design, evaluation workflows or AI product prototyping.
- Understanding of JSON and basic web architecture.
- Working knowledge of Git and Github.
- Experience in a modern newsroom or a related work environment.
- Ability to self-manage and handle multiple projects and fast deadlines.
- Comfort with Slack, Zoom and Google Sheets.
- Experience with AI-integrated IDEs (Github Copilot, Cursor) is a plus.
- Experience with AWS systems such as S3, EC2, Lambda is a plus.
