About the Role

Deloitte's Technology Programme Delivery (TPD) team operates at the forefront of large-scale technology-enabled transformation programmes. As part of the TPD team, you’ll work with a diverse group of talented professionals across Deloitte to deliver value to our clients throughout the delivery lifecycle. This includes shaping technology strategies, designing robust delivery frameworks, and managing the implementation of complex programmes. You’ll play a key role in helping clients achieve their strategic goals by ensuring the successful delivery of technology solutions that are scalable, efficient, and future-ready. We’re looking for someone to join our growing TMT and M&A capability, two high-demand areas of our business.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the planning and execution of M&A-related projects within the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) sector, ensuring successful delivery and value creation for clients.
  • Applying a deep understanding of TMT market dynamics and M&A trends to anticipate client challenges and inform project strategies and solutions, leveraging advanced analytics and AI-driven insights where applicable.
  • Managing project workstreams and teams, facilitating project ceremonies (e.g., stand-ups, sprint reviews) and tracking progress using appropriate methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Collaborating effectively with internal teams and client stakeholders at various levels, building strong relationships and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identifying potential risks and issues, escalating them to the programme leadership, and assisting in the development of mitigation strategies.
  • Preparing project reports, presentations, and other communication materials to keep stakeholders informed of project status and key decisions.
  • Contributing to business development activities, including supporting pre-sales efforts, preparing proposals, and participating in client presentations to showcase our capabilities.
  • Actively participating in internal practice development activities, learning from senior colleagues, and contributing to a collaborative and inclusive team environment, to support a growing TMT team.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in successfully managing project teams and leading the delivery of complex projects, particularly those involving M&A integration, separation, or due diligence.
  • A solid understanding of the M&A lifecycle and its practical application within the TMT industry, including key challenges and success factors, with proven experience in planning and executing critical operational transitions, such as Day 1 cutovers.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and client stakeholders, translating strategic objectives into clear project deliverables.
  • Strong understanding of TMT products, processes, and technologies.
  • Proficiency in key project management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Relevant project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile Scrum Master).
  • Experience contributing to business development activities, such as supporting proposal writing or client presentations.
  • A background in consulting or professional services.
  • Hands-on experience with specific AI/ML tools or platforms used for data analysis, predictive modelling, or automation in a corporate or consulting environment.

Skills

  • Digital platforms, content delivery, and media technologies.
  • Telecommunications infrastructure, services, and regulatory environments.
  • Ad-tech, data analytics, and emerging business models within TMT.
  • Cloud migration strategies, cybersecurity considerations in M&A, and data governance frameworks.
  • Appreciation of emerging technologies and trends impacting the TMT M&A landscape.
  • AI/ML tools or platforms used for data analysis, predictive modelling, or automation.

This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
