About the Role

You will take on technical responsibility for the setup and long-term development of the Cloud Architecture division for container and PaaS platforms. You will shape strategy and growth, plan capacity and budget, and share responsibility for results with your team. You will define the technology roadmap, architecture standards, and best practices, and further develop technical expertise within the team through coaching. You will advise clients on PaaS, container, and application architectures, designing solutions for cloud environments with hyperscalers or private clouds and actively participating in projects. You will design and implement container platforms based on Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, or comparable technologies. You will support presales activities, including customer workshops, developing architectural concepts, creating proposals, and estimating effort. You will accompany orders from scope clarification to staffing and coordinate appropriate personnel with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Design and implement container platforms based on Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, or comparable technologies.
Support presales activities, including customer workshops, developing architectural concepts, creating proposals, and estimating effort.
Accompany orders from scope clarification to staffing and coordinate appropriate personnel with stakeholders.

Requirements

Completed studies or training with an IT focus.
Several years of professional experience in public and/or hybrid cloud.
Experience in technical leadership.
Willingness to assume economic responsibility for strategy, growth, capacity, and budget.
Experience in presales is advantageous.
Deep understanding of cloud architectures.
Experience implementing projects as a Cloud Architect or Engineer.
Knowledge of infrastructure, network, identity, and security concepts.
Experience with Unix, Docker, and Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift.
Knowledge of Helm Charts, Argo CD, Vault, and various Git variants is a plus.
Structured communication skills.
Ability to convince clients and teams in workshops, architectural decisions, and technical discussions.
In-depth AI expertise.
Ability to actively shape the responsible use of AI within your area of responsibility.
Ability to act as an enabler for clients and internally at adesso.
Very good German and good English language skills.
