About the Role
Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. (QPWB) is seeking an attorney with General Liability defense experience to join our New York Office. This role offers an opportunity to advance your career, develop a team, and potentially bring clients. QPWB provides a mentoring and training program for new hires.
Responsibilities
- Provide client communication and advice regarding litigation risks, outcomes, legal rights, and obligations.
- Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments for case presentations.
- Draft and perform legal review and analysis, advising on practice area issues.
- Prepare for and attend mediations and hearings as required.
- Manage client interaction and problem resolution for case hearings.
- Integrate best practices and standards in client and case management.
- Prepare and respond to discovery requests in a timely manner.
- Develop new clients and maintain relationships with existing clients.
- Meet designated minimum billable time requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience in General Liability defense litigation, preferably 4-7 years.
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited university.
- Admitted to practice law and in good standing with the New York State bar.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and produce high-quality work.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Westlaw, and time-billing software.
