About the Role
Provide custodial services as assigned to the Einstein community for the night shift.
Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, and wax floors.
- Empty waste baskets and clean venetian blinds.
- Wash down walls and windows; dust as needed.
- Perform heavy vacuuming, cleaning, and mopping of all bathrooms.
- Remove debris from various areas and buildings; perform snow removal when required.
- Move furniture and equipment.
- Stock supply rooms as instructed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have experience in general porter duties.
- Must have knowledge of proper work procedures and equipment usage.
- Must possess good communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with building/office occupants.
- Must be able to physically lift boxes and bulk items such as furniture and supplies up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to safely operate maintenance equipment with standard training, including hand trucks, vacuums, and floor burnishers.
- Must have general knowledge of various cleaning/maintenance chemicals and their application.
- Must report needed repairs to the supervisor.
