About the Role
Dishwashers keep the kitchen running smoothly behind the scenes. They are responsible for cleaning and organizing all dishes, glassware, utensils, and pots, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of the dish area and machines. Dishwashers are an essential part of every successful event.
Responsibilities
- Run dish machines efficiently, especially during busy service and events.
- Wash and polish all glassware and flatware.
- Clean and put away all dishes, utensils, pots, and pans.
- Clean and sanitize dish mats, dish carts, and dish racks.
- Help receive and stock supplies and products.
- Handle and store cleaning products safely, following WHMIS guidelines.
- Keep the dish area clean and organized, including sweeping, mopping, and removing garbage.
- Support the kitchen team with other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A strong work ethic and the ability to keep pace in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Attention to detail and pride in a clean, organized workspace.
- A team-first attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
- The ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 5lbs.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on the event schedule.
- Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience is an asset.
