About the Role

We are seeking a Solutions Engineer to act as a liaison between our product team and clients, ensuring the feasibility and successful delivery of our offerings. This role involves technical leadership in the sales process, client engagement, and contributing to internal product development.

Responsibilities

Lead the technical aspects of early client discussions, including pre-workshop discovery calls.
Co-facilitate client workshops to understand processes, data sources, and challenges.
Address client inquiries regarding architecture, data integration, security, and on-premise setups.
Develop solution proposals that align client use cases with existing product capabilities and potential enhancements.
Collaborate with partners and managing directors to ensure cohesive commercial and technical strategies.
Translate client feedback into actionable insights for the product and engineering teams.
Contribute to roadmap development by identifying cross-client and cross-industry patterns for the core product.
Ensure a seamless handover to the engineering team for solution delivery.
Actively participate in building a new internal product for data-driven decision-making and action execution.

Requirements

Several years of experience in a client-facing technical role (e.g., Solutions Architect, Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Technical Consultant, Forward Deployed Engineer).
Hands-on technical background in software engineering, data engineering, or architecture, with expertise in system design, data integration, and security.
Practical experience with AI/LLM systems or data platforms, understanding their capabilities and limitations.
Experience in B2B sales cycles, including discovery calls, workshops, and solution presentations.
Ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences, from CTOs to operations teams.
Strong structuring skills to define clear problem statements and solution outlines from client discussions.
Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive approach to shaping evolving products.
High agency, a get-things-done mindset, and strong collaboration skills.
Fluent German and English.
Willingness to travel to client sites for workshops.
