About the Role
Ogilvy is one of Germany's most successful creative agencies in marketing and communication. As a Creative Company with locations in Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, and Berlin, we deliver modern, cross-disciplinary solutions for an increasingly complex world. We bring together the best experts for our clients and their business challenges. Our proprietary "Borderless Creativity" approach combines technology with creativity to achieve demonstrably better results.
Responsibilities
- Develop strong, cross-channel ideas and derive them convincingly from strategy, brand, and briefing, while also recognizing when a good idea can meaningfully extend the briefing.
- Translate concepts into visual worlds, looks, scribbles, and high-quality designs, developing them cross-media for digital and classic channels.
- Constructively question existing approaches and contribute ideas that elevate strategies and creative solutions to the next level.
- Develop creative briefs for external partners and accompany photo shoots and film productions from preparation to execution.
- Develop compelling client presentations, confidently present creative concepts, and provide well-founded advice to clients on creative and strategic issues.
- Provide junior colleagues with technical guidance, share expertise, and actively support their creative development.
- Take responsibility for projects, work reliably and solution-oriented, and keep an eye on quality and priorities even under time pressure.
- Take good work seriously without taking oneself too seriously, working ambitiously, pragmatically, and with the necessary team spirit during intensive project phases.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in art direction, communication design, or a comparable creative role, supported by a strong portfolio.
- Ability to think beyond the briefing, develop independent, surprising ideas, and translate them into relevant campaigns for digital and classic channels.
- Strong sense for design, typography, imagery, and current visual trends, with proficient use of the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Understanding of digital platforms, formats, and mechanics, and how to bring creative ideas to life in a channel- and target-group-appropriate manner.
- Experience in conceptualizing and accompanying photo shoots and film productions, ensuring creative quality throughout the entire production process.
- Ability to quickly familiarize oneself with brands, target groups, and cultural contexts to develop independent creative solutions; experience with well-known brands and larger campaigns is a plus.
- Work independently, structured, and solution-oriented, take responsibility for projects, and maintain an overview even with parallel timings.
- Ability to explain and advocate for ideas clearly, enjoy interdisciplinary work, and value constructive creative exchange.
- Very good German and English language skills, with the ability to confidently convey creative ideas and concepts in both languages.
