About the Role

Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) seeks a senior attorney with alternatives asset management experience to lead a team of three attorneys within the EMEA Asset Management Public Legal team. This role involves legal work related to fund formation, asset raising, regulatory projects, and fund distribution, providing ongoing support for advisory and asset management issues.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of three attorneys within the EMEA Asset Management Public Legal team.
Manage legal work related to EMEA alternative investment funds, including hedge funds, private equity funds, real estate funds, infra-debt funds, distressed debt funds, corporate credits funds, fund of funds, etc., including retail and evergreen alternatives.
Handle legal work related to fund formation.
Manage legal work related to asset raising.
Oversee legal work related to regulatory projects.
Address fund distribution matters.
Provide ongoing support for advisory and asset management issues.

Requirements

At least 10 years post qualification experience.
Previous in-house experience is preferred.

Skills

Dynamic and capable of working proactively.
Ability to lead and drive initiative on a wide range of issues.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proven track record of successful people management.
