Responsibilities

- Configure the Asset Finance solution to support agreed business processes and functional requirements.
- Support accounting, finance, operations, reporting and integration discussions where these affect the end-to-end business process.
- Support testing activities by maintaining requirements traceability, reviewing test coverage, clarifying expected system behaviour and assisting with defect triage.
- Act as a bilingual bridge between Japanese-speaking clients and English-speaking regional or global teams throughout the implementation and client engagement lifecycle.
Requirements
- Effective bilingual communication skills in Japanese and English, with JLPT N2 or above, or equivalent business-level Japanese proficiency, required for client-facing work in Japan.

- Relevant experience in areas such as banking, payments, lending, asset finance, leasing securities, trading, treasury, capital markets, risk, clearing, settlement, or other financial technology.
- Experience understanding business processes and translating business needs into requirements, workflows, system changes or functional solutions.
- Strong client and stakeholder communication skills with the ability to work between business users and technology teams.
- Working understanding of financial and accounting concepts, with the ability to understand how business events and system transactions can affect accounting, balances and financial reporting.
- Experience as a Business Consultant, Functional Consultant, Business Analyst, Product Specialist, Implementation Consultant, or subject matter expert supporting financial software.
- Hands-on involvement in financial system implementation, configuration, testing, user acceptance testing, migration, upgrades, production support or change initiatives.
- Experience working with Japanese financial institutions and collaborating with regional or global technology and delivery teams.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycles and enterprise software implementation methods.
