About the Role
As a Senior Sustainability Consultant, you'll lead the delivery of sustainability assurance projects while supporting the growth and development of both clients and colleagues. This role involves playing a leading part in helping clients verify their sustainability reporting, working with a diverse client base across multiple sectors, and combining technical expertise, client management, and project leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver assurance projects from inception through to completion
- Manage client relationships and act as a trusted advisor on sustainability assurance matters
- Provide technical leadership across project teams and review deliverables to ensure quality and consistency
- Interpret reporting standards and advise clients on reporting requirements and best practice
- Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and support business growth
- Contribute to proposals, tender submissions, and business development activities
- Mentor and develop junior consultants within the team
- Keep abreast of emerging legislation, standards, methodologies, and market developments
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering sustainability assurance projects
- Strong knowledge of assurance reporting standards
- Experience managing clients and delivering projects within budget and timescale requirements
- Ability to interpret complex sustainability issues and provide practical, commercially focused solutions
- Experience supporting business development activities and proposal preparation
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities
- High-quality report writing and presentation skills
- A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience
- Professional membership with a recognised environmental or sustainability institution would be advantageous
