About the Role
This 8-week paid summer internship is designed for students entering their penultimate year of undergraduate or graduate studies. The program offers an opportunity to immerse yourself in the Actuarial department, gain knowledge and professional skills, and develop a comprehensive understanding of the team's distinct roles.
Responsibilities
- Assist in various analyses, including claims reserving, pricing investigations, and capital modelling.
- Perform process mapping and documentation.
- Attend meetings with diverse business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the development team to enhance automation within Actuarial.
- Conduct in-depth reviews of specific business and regulatory areas.
- Undertake other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the team.
Requirements
- Achieved or expected minimum 2:1 classification in a Mathematics, Actuarial, or related degree discipline.
- Demonstrated excellence in previous work experience.
- Shown outstanding academic and extracurricular achievement.
- Possess strong analytical, quantitative, and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiastic about the insurance industry.
