About the Role
The Physical Therapist evaluates and treats injury, disease, and other health conditions. This role involves performance and interpretation of tests and measurements to assess deficits of human systems, helping patients regain movement, control pain, and create rehabilitation plans.
Responsibilities
- Administers patient evaluation and treatments employing physical therapy modalities, procedures, and interventions.
- Schedules patients and maintains communication regarding patient and departmental concerns.
- Submits accurate billing information.
- Participates in rotations in all clinical areas.
- Participates in teaching, including annual in-service to peers.
- Participates as a clinical instructor for students.
- Supervises PTA’s.
- Promotes and contributes to sanitary and housekeeping policies.
- Participates with department quality improvement activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree of Physical Therapy - required
- Master's Degree of Physical Therapy - required
- Doctorate Degree of Physical Therapy - required
- Acute care or inpatient rehabilitation experience - preferred
- PT - Physical Therapist Upon Hire - required
- BCPR - Board Certification Physical Rehabilitation Upon Hire - required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire - required
- Must successfully complete all applicable federal, State and institutionally mandated pre-employment screening requirements including: Relevant Background Check(s), Drug Screen, PPD / Tuberculosis Test, Reference Check, Applicable vaccinations.
