About the Role
As Head of Finance, you will act as a strategic partner to the CFO and executive team, translating the finance strategy into scalable structures and robust planning models. You will develop financial models, evaluate business models, investments, and partnerships, making opportunities, risks, and economic implications transparent to management. A key focus will be on international legal entity and intercompany structures, licensing and revenue-share models, and developing KPI, forecasting, and reporting processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement L1VE’s finance architecture for Germany and Europe, focusing on growth, profitability, transparency, and international scalability.
- Own integrated financial planning, budgeting, business cases, financial models, forecasts, and scenarios to support strategic decision-making.
- Build and develop relevant KPI systems for Technology, Commercial, Product, Marketing, and Sales departments.
- Evaluate business models, investments, partnerships, licensing models, and growth options, including their financial opportunities, risks, and implications.
- Support financing rounds, investor readiness, due diligence, and strategic transactions in coordination with the CFO.
- Manage and develop management, investor, and partner reporting using reliable and auditable data and processes.
- Coordinate interfaces with Finance Administration, Accounting, Tax, Audit, Legal, and external finance partners.
- Further develop finance, reporting, and governance structures, along with supporting systems and processes.
Requirements
- At least seven years of relevant professional experience in finance, with several years in a strategic finance role.
- Experience combining demanding consulting or Big Four environments with hands-on startup, scale-up, or growth company experience.
- Experience building scalable finance structures and working with integrated financial planning, business planning, financial modelling, forecasting, and management reporting.
- Strong knowledge of controlling, business performance management, governance, risk management, and evaluating business models, investments, and growth options.
- Understanding of German commercial, tax, and corporate law requirements.
- Experience managing external professional advisors.
- Experience with financing processes, investor reporting, due diligence, or M&A is advantageous.
- Ability to structure complex financial topics clearly and act as a strategic sparring partner.
- Strong analytical and entrepreneurial thinking, high degree of independence, and a strong sense of ownership.
- Confident and practical use of AI tools in finance, with examples of implemented AI-supported solutions and their value creation.
- Excellent written and spoken German and English.
- Confident use of finance, reporting, and collaboration tools.
