About the Role
This role involves delivering direct patient care, performing routine laboratory tests, educating patients and families, managing clinical documentation, and guiding clinic staff in an Urgent Care setting.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care and triage by conducting clinical assessments, administering medications and monitoring treatment responses.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and therapeutic procedures.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, post-discharge self-care, holistic health needs, and follow-up care resources.
- Manage clinical documentation and care coordination by recording patient histories in the EHR, delegating tasks, and managing referrals.
- Guide and mentor clinic staff by serving as a clinical resource, assisting with staff orientation, and streamlining patient flow.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Drivers License preferred.
- High school diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
