About the Role

As the Social Media Manager, Women’s Lifestyle, you will shape how three of the UK’s most recognisable women’s brands, including Red, Prima and Cosmopolitan, connect with their audiences across social. You’ll put social at the heart of how these brands grow, turning brilliant editorial, cultural moments, commercial campaigns and major brand experiences into content that stops people scrolling, sparks conversation and drives audience growth. You’ll own the social strategy while being hands-on in making it happen, creating and publishing content, shaping the social calendar, editing quick-turnaround video, spotting trends and using performance data to continually improve what we do. Working across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, X and whatever comes next, you’ll understand what makes each platform work and be the social voice across the portfolio - championing creativity, protecting each brand’s distinctive identity and finding new ways to grow reach, engagement, traffic and revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver social media strategies across our Women’s Lifestyle portfolio, with a particular focus on Instagram and Facebook, while identifying opportunities across TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, X and emerging platforms.
  • Create, edit, publish and schedule engaging social content across formats, including quick-turnaround video, imagery, graphics and editorial-led posts.
  • Drive social performance against key objectives including audience reach, engagement, traffic and revenue, using data and insight to continually improve results.
  • Lead the social calendar across multiple brands, balancing editorial priorities, commercial campaigns, cultural moments, events, podcasts, video and other opportunities to put our brands in front of audiences.
  • Establish and champion distinctive social tone of voice and visual guidelines, ensuring content feels native to each platform while remaining unmistakably true to each brand.
  • Use social publishing, optimisation and analytics platforms including True Anthem and Dash Hudson to an expert level, making the most of their functionality to improve performance.
  • Produce regular, insightful reporting that goes beyond the numbers, identifying what is working, what isn’t and what we should do differently next.
  • Work closely with editorial, commercial, customer, video and wider brand teams to maximise the impact of major moments and ensure social is considered from the outset.
  • Champion social across the business, bringing expertise, ideas and a point of view while protecting the tone, reputation and long-term health of our channels.

Requirements

  • Proven experience developing and delivering social media strategies that generate clear business results, with a strong understanding of platform algorithms, audience behaviour and what drives performance.
  • Hands-on experience managing social channels for a national or international publication, media brand or similarly high-profile consumer brand.
  • Strong knowledge of Instagram and Facebook, alongside experience across TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat and X.
  • A genuine understanding of what makes content work on social — from formats and hooks to algorithms, trends, audience behaviours and platform-specific storytelling.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using social data and reporting tools to identify trends, generate actionable insight and shape future strategy.
  • Confident using spreadsheets and social analytics to interrogate performance and turn data into clear recommendations.
  • Strong content creation skills, including basic video and image editing, with the ability to turn around engaging content quickly.
  • A sharp, accurate and creative writing style, with the ability to adapt tone of voice across different brands, platforms and audiences.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to manage competing priorities and input from multiple senior stakeholders.
  • Naturally curious, commercially aware and plugged into social culture, with a willingness to experiment, learn and find new ways to grow audiences.
