About the Role

This dual-role position within Accenture’s APAC Industry Marketing team involves driving industry marketing across Australia and New Zealand, and serving as the APAC specialist for the Communications, Media & Technology (CMT) sector. You will bring Accenture’s industry expertise to life for local clients, shape compelling industry narratives, and activate campaigns. As the CMT specialist, you will build deep sector knowledge, become a trusted advisor, and translate Accenture’s expertise into opportunities across APAC. This is a senior player-coach role requiring strategic direction, stakeholder influence, and hands-on execution to achieve outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Help lead industry marketing across ANZ, working collaboratively with Industry Marketing colleagues.
  • Build strong relationships across Industry & Enterprise, Client Relationship Marketing, ANZ marketers and other stakeholders.
  • Adapt APAC and global activity to local market priorities and opportunities.
  • Bring local client stories, proof points and perspectives into industry campaigns.
  • Ensure industry marketing activity is activated and used in-market.
  • Partner with Client Relationship Marketing to connect industry demand generation with named-account activity.
  • Share market insight, opportunities and learnings across the ANZ and APAC Industry Marketing team.
  • Be the APAC team’s trusted advisor and go-to expert on Communications, Media & Technology.
  • Build strong relationships with APAC and Global CMT leaders and stay close to industry priorities and emerging issues.
  • Provide guidance, expertise and industry context to Industry Marketing colleagues across the region.
  • Help market leads translate CMT trends, thought leadership and opportunities into locally relevant activity.
  • Develop and curate industry insights, proof points and perspectives that can be shared and reused across APAC.
  • Connect colleagues with relevant experts, research and resources across Accenture’s global and regional industry network.
  • Represent the CMT industry perspective in APAC planning and prioritisation discussions.
  • Lead or participate in cross-market and cross-industry squads focused on major opportunities, campaigns, events and industry priorities.
  • Act as Squad Lead where appropriate for opportunities centred in ANZ or requiring CMT industry expertise.
  • Bring together the right stakeholders, expertise and marketing capabilities to deliver outcomes.
  • Contribute industry expertise and market insight to squads led by other markets or Industry Marketing colleagues.
  • Share learnings, ideas and best practices across the ANZ and APAC team.
  • Shape campaign strategy, messaging, content and activation plans.
  • Balance strategic leadership with hands-on contribution when needed.
  • Develop or refine briefs, narratives, executive messaging and campaign materials.
  • Help shape Accenture’s presence at industry events, forums and leadership engagements.
  • Brief speakers, identify opportunities and ensure a strong industry point of view.
  • Partner with Media Relations, Analyst Relations and Eminence teams to strengthen Accenture’s industry profile.
  • Focus effort on the industries, opportunities and activities most likely to support growth.
  • Use data, market insight and stakeholder feedback to refine priorities.
  • Measure outcomes and share learnings across the team.
  • Bring an ownership mindset to both ANZ market priorities and the APAC CMT portfolio, while working collaboratively to deliver shared outcomes.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of marketing experience in industry marketing, campaign strategy, thought leadership, market development or a related field.
  • Experience in Communications, Media & Technology is valuable, but curiosity and the ability to quickly build deep industry expertise are equally important.
  • Industry expertise and curiosity – You enjoy understanding what’s changing in an industry, what clients care about and where new opportunities are emerging.
  • You can turn market insights into practical marketing action.
  • Ownership mindset – You take responsibility for outcomes, not just activities.
  • You see work through from idea to execution and learning.
  • Commercial thinking – You connect marketing activity to business priorities, client opportunities and growth.
  • Collaborative leadership – You build strong relationships, influence without authority and bring people together to achieve shared goals.
  • You’re equally comfortable taking the lead and contributing your expertise where someone else is leading.
  • Practical execution – You’re willing to roll up your sleeves and get involved when needed.
  • You balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and don’t see execution as someone else’s job.
  • Communication and storytelling – You can shape compelling narratives, create effective briefs and communicate confidently with senior stakeholders.
  • Clarity and pace – You simplify complexity, make clear recommendations and help move work forward.
