About the Role
You will be responsible for proposing fragrance and cosmetic ingredients for the personal care industry to domestic customers in Japan. The products handled cover a wide range, including skincare, hair care/color, makeup, sun care, oral care, toiletries, and household goods. By proposing high-quality and innovative ingredients sourced from suppliers worldwide, you will support customer product development and business growth.
Responsibilities
- Propose ingredients to domestic manufacturers and provide market trends and technical information.
- Search for and develop domestic and international suppliers that meet customer needs.
- Negotiate with domestic manufacturers and overseas suppliers, including price negotiations.
- Import and sell raw materials and fragrance ingredients.
- Prepare quotations and contracts.
- Provide technical proposals and solutions for new product development.
- Propose formulations and provide evaluation support based on customer product concepts and challenges.
Requirements
- Sales experience related to raw materials (fragrances, cosmetics, chemicals, food) for approximately 2 years or more.
- Formulation development experience in cosmetics.
- Experience with fragrance ingredients or cosmetic ingredients is particularly welcome for those who wish to broaden their product range.
- Knowledge of trade.
- English proficiency is desirable but acceptable for those willing to study.
- Company provides assistance with English training.
