About the Role
Shape how Tyro designs, builds, and secures technology across its Payments, Banking, and Health businesses by embedding security into cloud, applications, infrastructure, data, and emerging technologies like AI.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve security architecture principles, standards, reference architectures, and reusable patterns.
- Partner with solution architects, engineers, product, and business teams to embed security throughout the technology delivery lifecycle.
- Conduct security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and design assessments to identify risks and recommend controls.
- Provide security guidance for AWS environments, applications, infrastructure, identity, and data, including AI-enabled solutions.
- Review the implementation of security controls, collaborate on code reviews and penetration testing, and assess third-party technologies.
- Work with stakeholders to translate complex security concepts into actionable advice and inform risk-based decisions.
Requirements
- Strong experience in security architecture, solution architecture, or security engineering.
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, application, identity, and data security, with practical experience in AWS.
- Experience conducting threat modeling and security design reviews.
- Strong understanding of secure software development, DevSecOps, and modern engineering practices.
- Knowledge of security frameworks and regulatory requirements (CPS 234, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, PCI DSS).
- Ability to build strong relationships, challenge constructively, and explain technical risks to diverse audiences.
- Collaborative, solutions-focused mindset and willingness to embrace new challenges.
- Experience in financial services, payments, banking, or health is a bonus.
- Exposure to AI security, Zero Trust Architecture, or container security is a bonus.
