About the Role

Join Deloitte in Sydney as a Consultant Forward Deployed Full Stack Engineer, where you'll build practical software solutions side by side with clients and see your work create real-world impact. You will work at the forefront of full stack engineering, cloud and AI-enabled delivery, building software that solves complex problems in production for clients across government, financial services and critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Understand complex business and technical challenges.
Shape practical solutions.
Build software that meets real user and operational needs.
Develop customer-facing applications.
Build APIs and integrations.
Extend platforms.
Design cloud-based solutions in AWS or Azure.
Own the full software development life cycle end to end.
Write clean, maintainable code.
Contribute to technical architecture.
Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.
Monitor, troubleshoot and improve solutions once they're live.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, designers and client stakeholders.
Solve consequential problems in fast-moving environments.
Contribute to technically demanding work across government, financial services and critical infrastructure.

Requirements

Experience building and delivering software across the full software development life cycle.
Strong full stack engineering capability across front-end and back-end technologies.
Experience designing and supporting APIs, integrations, distributed services and data-intensive applications.
Practical experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Familiarity with source control, automated testing, CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices.
Confidence communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Comfort working directly with clients to solve problems.
A proactive, adaptable approach.
Comfort working across ambiguity, multiple technologies and evolving delivery needs.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, AI-assisted engineering tools, or client-facing consulting environments is a plus.
