About the Role
We are seeking a Creative Associate to transform ideas into tangible outcomes rapidly. This role involves close collaboration with our founder, Jason Carman, across his two companies, Story and Wizard. You will be instrumental in bringing his numerous ideas to life, whether through creating decks, developing video briefs, or launching social media campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Create decks by transforming rough concepts into polished, visually appealing presentations using AI-assisted design tools.
- Extract and clarify ideas through probing questions, then document them in decks, briefs, or plans.
- Initiate and manage projects from conception to completion, including team assembly, execution, and incorporating feedback.
- Maintain a comprehensive overview of all creative deliverables across Story and Wizard, tracking ownership and next steps.
- Act as Jason's representative in meetings, capturing key information and ensuring follow-through on action items.
- Manage multiple projects, individuals, and communication threads simultaneously, identifying connections between them.

Requirements
- Early-career professionals ready for significant responsibility beyond their title.
- Demonstrated ability to work extremely hard and learn at an accelerated pace.
- Genuine belief in the mission and vision of Story and Wizard.
- Passion for art, film, design, and business.
- Strong aesthetic judgment and the ability to evaluate creative work from multiple perspectives.
- Proficient writing skills with a keen understanding of copy and marketing principles.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable interacting with diverse groups including engineers and creatives.
- Adaptability to ambiguity and enjoyment of multitasking.
- Fluency with AI tools, particularly Claude Design, and proficiency in Figma.
- Enthusiasm for creating mood boards, collecting references, and utilizing platforms like Pinterest.
- A strong portfolio showcasing taste and thought process is highly valued.
- Willingness to complete a short work sample involving creating a deck from raw input by end of day.
