About the Role
Starlim North America is a global leader in silicone part manufacturing, specializing in custom Liquid Silicone Rubber molding for the healthcare and automotive industries. We utilize proprietary, automated, world-class technologies and lean manufacturing principles to deliver high-quality products. We are seeking a Production Team Member to maintain efficient operations, uphold quality standards, and ensure a clean work environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the efficient operation of injection molding machines and the production process.
- Make hourly checks at injection molding machines to inspect parts for defects, recognizing and rectifying quality deficiencies or stopping production.
- Perform 100% inspection of rejected or suspect parts.
- Complete production/quality documentation accurately according to work instructions.
- Successfully complete injection molding machine takeovers in conjunction with Process Technicians.
- Perform daily machine maintenance and cleaning according to product specifications, recording abnormalities and damage in the production log.
- Complete necessary raw material changes and booking processes.
- Manage bin changes and perform accurate scanning for traceability.
- Handle material, including totes and boxes of parts, from the machine to shipping.
- Package parts to meet customer-specific requirements.
- Perform production tasks within the cleanroom environment, observing special instructions and hygiene requirements.
- Perform housekeeping in the production area and at the machines.
- Conduct all work activities according to established work instructions and follow Starlim North America Corporation procedures and practices.
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Requirements
- Ability to execute a variety of tasks with little supervision.
- Commitment to your team and good attendance record.
- Ability to communicate effectively with shift leader and co-workers in a team environment.
- Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
- Ability to understand customer specifications and quality requirements and perform accordingly.
- Must be able to work all shifts including days, afternoons, nights, and weekends.
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Attention to details.
Skills
- Understanding of health and safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.
