About the Role
The Scrum Master role drives the consistent adoption of Pepper’s Ways of Working. It enables teams to operate and collaborate effectively by embedding Agile practices and values into planning and day-to-day delivery. The Scrum Master works within the Pepper Scrum Master community to ensure continuous, iterative improvement of Ways of Working across Technology.
Responsibilities
- Act as a catalyst for high-performing Agile delivery, through shaping Scrum and Kanban practices, uplifting team maturity, and embedding consistent Ways of Working.
- Drive synchronisation, accountability, and better outcomes across Pepper by facilitating key forums and planning events.
- Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to prioritise work, manage competing demands, and deliver against quarterly objectives.
- Create alignment and transparency across business and technology teams, fostering shared accountability for outcomes.
- Enable high-performing, self-organising teams through psychological safety, coaching, and a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
- Leverage metrics and insights to support better decision-making, sustainable pace, and predictable delivery.
- Improve the effectiveness of distributed teams through strong facilitation, communication, and knowledge-sharing practices.
- Proactively identify and resolve impediments, risks, and dependencies impacting team progress.
- Collaborate with the Scrum Master community, act as a thought leader in your areas of interest and expertise, and stay connected to industry trends.
Requirements
- Certified Scrum Master with experience leading multiple teams.
- Proactive, learning mindset.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Knowledge of different Agile frameworks.
- Desirable: Experience in a scaled environment.
- Desirable: Experience in finance industry.
- Desirable: Active in the Agile community.
