  • Maintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date records throughout the I-9 audit process.
  • Track audit progress, including outstanding documentation, discrepancies, and resolution status.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive employee information with a high level of discretion and professionalism.
  • Partner with HR team members to communicate documentation issues identified during the review and collaborate on solutions.
  • Support additional administrative tasks directly related to the I-9 compliance project as needed to ensure timely completion.
  • Work independently to manage workload, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines while maintaining quality and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Form I-9 verification and documentation.
  • Strong experience with E-Verify processes and systems.
  • Experience in human resources, HR support, HR compliance, or HR administration.
  • Proven ability to review employee documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify documentation discrepancies and inconsistencies.
  • Comfort working with confidential and sensitive employee information while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills to manage a high volume of records.
  • Ability to perform repetitive, detail-oriented work while consistently maintaining accuracy.
  • Comfort reviewing a high volume of employee records within set timelines.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for tracking and documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly document findings and communicate with HR team members.
  • Ability to work independently, stay organized, and meet project deadlines without close supervision.
  • Extensive I-9 experience beyond basic exposure is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with HR audits and compliance-related projects.
  • Experience in general human resources or HR support roles.
  • Ability to adapt to project needs and support a variety of administrative tasks related to compliance.
