About the Role
We are seeking experienced healthcare operations professionals to help evaluate and improve advanced AI models that support the administrative and business side of healthcare. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in coding, billing, revenue cycle management, documentation integrity, utilization review, payer operations, and healthcare compliance to assess AI-generated outputs against real-world industry standards. This is a fully remote, flexible opportunity for professionals who enjoy problem-solving, reviewing documentation, applying regulations and guidelines, and ensuring accuracy in complex healthcare workflows. Rather than working directly within a healthcare organization, you will help train and improve next-generation AI systems by evaluating how they perform realistic healthcare operations tasks.
Responsibilities
- Create realistic healthcare operations scenarios based on professional experience.
- Develop supporting documentation, payer policies, claim information, and workflow examples for evaluation purposes.
- Review AI-generated coding decisions, denial appeals, physician queries, prior authorization determinations, audit reports, and charge reconciliations.
- Compare multiple AI-generated responses and identify errors, omissions, compliance issues, and reasoning flaws.
- Develop detailed grading rubrics that define what a correct and compliant response should include.
- Provide written feedback explaining why responses meet or fail industry standards.
- Review and refine projects developed by other healthcare operations professionals.
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on healthcare operations experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in progress or completed, or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare documentation, coding, billing, or revenue cycle processes.
- Experience interpreting regulations, coding guidelines, payer policies, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent written communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to identify inaccuracies and explain decisions using industry standards and supporting documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to apply real-world healthcare operations experience to realistic business and reimbursement scenarios.
- Strong understanding of documentation, coding, billing, payer policies, or compliance workflows.
- Excellent written English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage projects with minimal oversight.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar technologies is helpful.
- Comfortable using cloud-based platforms and file management systems.
- Available for a minimum of 10 hours per week.
