About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on lead front-end developer to transform Figma designs into intuitive user experiences. You will collaborate with UX/UI designers and full-stack developers to refine interfaces, improve interactions, and strengthen frontend code, ensuring a cohesive and polished product.

Responsibilities

Partner with the UX/UI Lead to understand user problems and design intent, contributing ideas and exploring possibilities.
Translate Figma designs into high-quality React interfaces, focusing on layout, typography, spacing, responsiveness, and interaction details.
Complete the user experience by identifying and resolving gaps between static designs and working applications, including various states like loading, empty, and error.
Elevate frontend implementations by refining initial builds into production-ready experiences, improving component structure, state handling, usability, and consistency.
Build and maintain reusable components and patterns, establishing frontend conventions and documenting their use.
Improve performance and reliability by addressing slow loading, unnecessary rendering, and unresponsive interactions.
Write maintainable, tested code, participate in code reviews, and ensure accessibility and cross-browser reliability.

Requirements

Strong visual and interaction judgment, with the ability to explain improvements for spacing, hierarchy, feedback, or behavior.
Experience working closely with designers, interpreting Figma designs, discussing design intent, and prototyping ideas.
Strong React and TypeScript skills, with a solid understanding of JavaScript, semantic HTML, CSS, and modern frontend frameworks and tooling.
Experience building and maintaining substantial applications.
Sound frontend engineering practices, including reusable components, application state, API integration, responsive design, accessibility, testing, and performance optimization.
Ability to improve existing code without introducing unnecessary complexity.
A proactive, collaborative approach, including raising issues, proposing solutions, and sharing ownership.
Ability to refine another developer's implementation and provide/receive constructive feedback.
Examples demonstrating how contributions made an interface meaningfully better, showcasing engineering decisions and attention to user experience.
