About the Role
This internship will help you acquire skills and abilities and provide you with vast knowledge into our various projects. We are looking for a motivated Operations Intern to support our Operations Department with day-to-day departmental needs.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound shipments.
- Recommend, issue, and track purchase orders for components, filling & finished goods.
- Maintain full visibility of purchase orders and track through to delivery; act as point of contact and participate in weekly open orders calls.
- Obtain transport quotes and monitor costs in an offline tracker to ensure all quotes are captured.
- Partner with Logistics to ensure timely inbound delivery of purchase orders via air, ocean & trucks.
- Receive purchase orders into ERP and flag any discrepancies between advanced Shipping Notice and Receipt.
- Conduct monthly inventory reconciliations on components at supplier locations.
- Analyze and report monthly on excess, obsolete and discontinued inventory.
- Liaise with Demand Planning and warehouse management team to ensure stock availability for allocation.
- Manage all warehouse transfers.
- Fulfill outbound orders to ensure fulfillment accuracy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or a relevant field.
- Must have a positive, team player attitude.
- Must communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to problem-solve and manage time successfully.
- Must be highly organized and adaptable within a fast-paced environment.
