About the Role
Provide expert support for automation platforms, troubleshoot electro-mechanical equipment, and ensure the seamless operation of advanced systems both remotely and on-site. Engage with internal teams and external customers to resolve technical challenges related to controls systems, working autonomously and utilizing technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Programming and troubleshooting various automation platforms remotely on brand new equipment as well as systems that have been installed.
- Engaging with customers (both external as well as internal from other departments) via phone and e-mail to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electro-mechanical equipment, computer systems, and software.
- Project-based work in a typical week.
- 10% of your “on site” days being at a customer’s site to work on a project tailored to a specific location.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Controls Engineering
- 3+ years of experience in a Controls/Automation role
- 3+ years of SCADA and PLC experience with Rockwell controls software or RS Logix 5000/Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View Studio ME, Siemens and/or Modicon/Schneider Electric controls, and Structured Text
- Knowledge of specific controls' software/hardware and serves as the technical authority
