About the Role
Clio is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer passionate about building innovative solutions, tackling new challenges, and making an impact in the legal AI technology space.
Responsibilities
- Develop advanced machine learning models using structured and unstructured data to improve customer experience.
- Create LLM/agentic based solutions to help clients save time and create efficiencies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product management, operations, and data science to identify new ML-driven features.
- Work in an agile environment with machine learning engineers, MLOps engineers, and software developers on various projects.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in model development, specifically with designing and shipping agentic systems, including retrieval, tool use, orchestration, and evaluation frameworks.
- Proficiency in data manipulation, cleaning, and pre-processing for complex unstructured data sets.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment with distributed teams and customers.
- Experience working with open-source LLM foundation models and APIs for commercial LLMs.
- Demonstrated success in mentorship within software development, particularly using an agile process and with large-scale SaaS products.
