About the Role
Join CLA's Central Texas Retail team as an Audit & Assurance Senior. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain specialized skills in a niche area, accelerating your career by working directly with retail clients. You will execute and manage audit engagements from start to finish, ensuring client satisfaction and contributing to CLA's purpose of creating opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Execute and manage the day-to-day activities of audit engagements with retail clients from start to finish.
- Manage engagement budgets, planning, and fieldwork.
- Direct staff and complete financial statements, including related disclosures.
- Review client accounting and operating procedures.
- Develop and assess the design and implementation of internal controls.
- Prepare all necessary financial statement and related disclosures and reportable condition correspondence letters.
- Utilize proactive and effective communication with staff, management, and clients to communicate technical matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
- 2 years of public accounting audit experience required, with emphasis in financial statement preparation, audits, reviews, and compilations.
- Ability to travel to client sites which may also require infrequent overnight travel.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to Department of Defense (DoD) contract support.
