About the Role

Mohawk Medbuy Corporation (MMC) is seeking a Director, Strategic Sourcing – FF&E to manage sourcing initiatives within the supply division, ensure adherence to MMC best practices and policies, deliver exceptional customer service, strengthen relationships with Members and suppliers, and provide leadership to the sourcing staff. This role drives sourcing initiatives through analytics, stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and supplier relationship management, focusing on opportunity identification and program enhancement.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic, fiscal, and practical leadership to supply chain sourcing, contracting, and procurement.
Develop multi-year strategic sourcing plans and assess contract expiries.
Ensure compliance with BPS Procurement Directives, applicable legislation, and internal policies.
Develop and implement performance measures, benchmarks, and staff performance appraisals.
Lead strategic contracting discussions with member organizations.
Act as an ambassador for MMC's mission, vision, values, and goals.
Recruit, manage, and provide guidance to personnel.
Oversee strategic contract planning and management, including program development and policy review.
Provide RFx support, contract negotiations, and review contract language.
Consult with and address issues with Members, suppliers, and internal parties.
Oversee Sourcing and Project Management staff.
Lead multiple FF&E member projects of varying sizes and complexities.
Ensure successful execution of projects from initiation through completion.
Acquire new business, including member meetings and presentations.
Develop resourcing/costing plans to support member Statement of Work.
Provide strategic advice to stakeholders for project planning and procurement.
Collaborate with internal teams to streamline sourcing activities.

Requirements

Diverse strategic sourcing, procurement, and/or category management experience.
Proven track record of managing larger and multiple concurrent complex sourcing categories.
Excellent RFx preparation and contract management skills.
Strong negotiation skills to achieve win-win results.
Experience managing complex sourcing activities with transferable skills.
Strong people leadership capabilities and a proven track record managing direct teams.
Desire to mentor and coach a team within strategic sourcing and category management.
Demonstrated ability to influence for optimal business decisions.
Ability to gain respect and build relationships with key stakeholders and vendors.
Proven ability to assess business/requirement gaps, develop strategies, and gain stakeholder input.
Innovative thinking to find category management solutions.
Excellent evaluation skills to analyze bids and make vendor recommendations.
Knowledge of e-commerce, strategic sourcing processes, spend analytic tools, and automation.
Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to travel to Mohawk Medbuy offices if required.
Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination required.
