About the Role
Adventure Tours is seeking a Motor Coach Operator for its Long Island, NY team. This role involves taking ownership of every mile and ensuring passengers have a safe and positive travel experience. As a premier luxury motor coach transportation company, we foster a family-oriented culture where drivers are trusted with passenger journeys and are key to our continued growth.
Responsibilities
- Operate a commercial bus and transport passengers according to assigned routes and schedules
- Safely load, transfer, and unload passengers' luggage
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Maintain a clean and presentable bus interior
- Conduct vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure proper functioning of all equipment and safety features
- Coordinate with dispatch to ensure efficient pick-up and transfers
- Report any mechanical issues or accidents to the appropriate authorities
- Prepare and submit reports on passengers, trips, hours worked, mileage, fuel consumption, and fares received
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance
Requirements
- Must be 19-A Certified
- Class A or B CDL with air brakes and a P endorsement
- 2 years' CDL experience as a professional driver
- Must meet DOT physical qualifications
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation industry practices
- Neat and well-groomed appearance
