About the Role
Pine Plains Veterinary Hospital is seeking a full-time Front-Desk Receptionist to serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contributing significantly to the client experience. The ideal candidate is a customer service-oriented individual with strong communication skills, capable of thriving in a fast-paced setting and demonstrating a passion for animal welfare.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets, manage the appointment sign-in process, confirm appointment details, and escort clients to exam rooms.
- Accurately account for service and product sales, process payments (including credit/debit cards), and schedule future appointments.
- Handle incoming client calls regarding appointments, hospital inquiries, medication refills, and other requests.
- Make outbound calls for appointment reminders and follow-ups.
- Demonstrate understanding of common vaccination protocols, basic lab tests, common diseases, veterinary terminology, and pet behavior.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized environment to ensure a positive client experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist is preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to maintain a calm, professional, and positive demeanor.
