About the Role
Frank R. Laurri MD & Associates is seeking a highly organized and patient-focused medical receptionist to join our fast-paced primary care practice team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Greets and checks in patients upon arrival.
- Verifies demographics, checks insurance eligibility, and collects/processes payments.
- Schedules patient appointments and manages appointment calendars.
- Answers direct phone calls, addresses patient inquiries, and redirects calls to nursing/provider for clinical needs.
- Maintains accurate patient records in EMR (Medent).
- Ensures patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provides excellent customer service with professionalism and strong interpersonal skills, ensuring a positive experience for patients, vendors, and other healthcare team members.
Requirements
- Experience with front desk operations, patient scheduling, and customer service preferred.
- Experience with Medent preferred.
- Willing to train.
