About the Role
Horizon’s Lending & Credit Internship Program offers a hands-on learning experience designed to introduce students to commercial banking and credit analysis in a dynamic, relationship-driven environment. Interns will work closely with Horizon’s lending and credit teams to gain exposure to loan structuring, portfolio management, and the underwriting process. This is a paid, in-person internship that provides a unique opportunity to learn from senior leaders, collaborate with peers, and contribute to meaningful work that supports Horizon’s mission and community.
Responsibilities
- Gain exposure to key areas of the lending process including financial analysis, loan structuring, and portfolio management.
- Strengthen understanding of our relationship-driven approach to banking.
- Exposure to commercial lending, credit analysis, and underwriting processes.
- Collaboration with seasoned bankers and senior leaders.
- Opportunities for leadership and professional development.
- Social and team-building experiences throughout the summer.
- Engagement in community and volunteer initiatives.
- Other duties and projects as assigned or taken on.
Requirements
- Rising sophomore or junior college student.
- Major in Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
- Completed at least one course in their declared focus area.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and contribute to a team’s success.
- Optimistic, internally motivated, community-oriented personality.
- Ability to make decisions, create change, and help grow a company – while growing yourself.
