About the Role
The Fitness Factory Group LLC is seeking a passionate and energetic Yoga Instructor in New York, NY, to guide students on their wellness journey within a vibrant fitness community. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about movement, mindfulness, and making a positive impact.
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead engaging yoga classes for students of varying skill levels.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive studio environment.
- Demonstrate proper alignment, breathing techniques, and modifications for poses.
- Monitor students and provide hands-on adjustments and verbal cues to prevent injury.
- Develop class sequences and curriculum tailored to specific class formats.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with members to encourage retention and class attendance.
- Stay current with yoga trends, certifications, and continuing education.
Requirements
- 200-hour RYT certification from a Yoga Alliance-accredited program (500-hour preferred).
- Prior experience teaching group yoga classes in a studio or fitness facility.
- Strong knowledge of yoga philosophy, anatomy, and injury prevention.
- Excellent verbal communication and motivational skills.
- CPR/First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional with a student-first mindset.
- Ability to teach multiple yoga styles is a plus.
