About the Role
G MASS Consulting is partnering with a leading global insurance services group to find an experienced Coverholder Auditor. This role involves delivering end-to-end audits of US coverholders for Lloyd's managing agents, from planning and fieldwork to final reporting, ensuring compliance with the Lloyd's audit framework and LMA Coverholder Audit Scope. The ideal candidate is a seasoned delegated authority professional, such as an ex-underwriter or claims manager, capable of substantiating findings against the binding authority agreement.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end audits of US coverholders for Lloyd's managing agents, including coordinated audits, completing approximately two full audits per month.
- Review binding authority agreements and managing agent audit scopes to issue tailored pre-audit information requests.
- Conduct on-site and remote fieldwork, testing underwriting, claims, governance, and controls against delegated authority terms.
- Hold wrap-up meetings with coverholder management to discuss initial findings.
- Produce clear, evidence-based audit reports with prioritized findings and recommendations, linking them to the delegated authority agreement.
- Record findings in Lloyd's Delegated Audit Manager (DAM) within deadlines and support post-audit actions to closure.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of the Lloyd's delegated authority model, Lloyd's coordinated audit framework, and current LMA Coverholder Audit Scope and guidance notes.
- Senior background as an underwriter, claims manager, or delegated authority professional.
- Proven ability to write clear, structured audit reports.
- Confidence in leading audits independently.
- Willingness to travel to coverholder sites.
- US-based candidates or those with experience of US coverholders are strongly advantageous.
- Spanish language skills are highly desirable.
- DCA or reinsurance audit experience, use of DAM, and registration as a Lloyd's auditor are advantageous.
